FRESHUE was built at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and lived experience.
I’m Jordan Smith, the founder of FRESHUE Marketing. Before working in content and brand strategy, I was on a very different path, one that began in law. I completed an undergraduate degree in Law & Legal Studies, graduated with honours, and spent several years working in legal environments while preparing for law school. On paper, everything made sense.
But something felt off.
I’ve always known I had a creative side, one that wanted to build, shape, and tell stories. Eventually, I made the decision to step away from the legal field and explore a more creative direction. That choice led me to the Okanagan, where I began working in the film industry on made-for-TV productions.
Being on set changed everything. I saw firsthand how directors, cinematographers, and creative teams collaborate to bring ideas to life, not just beautifully, but intentionally. I learned how much thought goes into framing, lighting, pacing, and emotion. More importantly, I learned how powerful storytelling can be when every detail has purpose.
During that time, I began investing heavily in my own education, taking courses in content creation, filming, marketing strategy, and digital storytelling. What started as curiosity quickly became a skillset.
In 2024, I stepped into a marketing coordinator role for a manufacturing company, managing their social media and content strategy. That experience showed me something clearly: if I could do this successfully for one brand, I could do it for many.
That’s how FRESHUE was born.
Today, FRESHUE helps brands clarify who they are, what they stand for, and how to show up online in a way that feels human, intentional, and effective. While we still offer full-service content creation, the heart of FRESHUE has evolved into strategy-led marketing, helping businesses define their brand pillars, refine their voice, and create content that actually connects.
My goal is to build a thoughtful, high-impact agency that works with brands who value clarity over noise, authenticity over perfection, and long-term trust over short-term trends.
FRESHUE exists to help brands illuminate who they already are, and communicate it clearly to the people who need to hear it.
